This manuscript describes the results of targeted metabolomic profiling of SVHD patients before and after Stage 2 palliation compared to healthy controls. We reported significant metabolomic differences between SVHD patients and healthy children, as well a large metabolomic shift between pre-operation and post-operation samples in the SVHD group. We also found an association between several individual metabolites and adverse post-operative outcomes.
