This manuscript describes the result of targeted proteomic profiling of SVHD patients before and after Stage 2 palliation compared to healthy controls. We found that the targeted proteome differed significantly between cases and controls as well as among cases pre-operation and post-operation. Multiple individual protein levels were found to be associated with low post-operative oxygen levels including members of the matrix metalloproteinase and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase families.
